Weekly Update #1

I’m going to try and make a habit of doing a weekly update so that I can keep my backers informed of progress on Book 3.

For now, since I haven’t launched my Kickstarter, I’ll just make this a kind of running timeline of progress on Book 2; Requiem for the Nightingale.

I’ve finished the first version of the final draft and I’ve given it to my beta readers. I’m mostly looking for copy editing issues, but I may change an idea or refine some dialogue here or there. My cover artist is already hard at work on the art for Requiem and I’m super excited about what she’s going to show me.

It’s pretty exciting to be putting out my second book and I’m hopeful that it will do well. I put a lot of time and effort into it, more than anything else I’ve probably ever done, and I feel like it shows.

Despite all that, I’m looking forward to publishing it fully so I can get to work on Book 3. Currently describing it as a ‘riverboat casino heist set in space’.

Also, all the pictures for my weekly updates (and probably all my posts on here) will be of my pets. Gotta pay the cat tax.
